Role : Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse

WNA Healthcare is looking for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Service Nurse to work in the main hospital at the Isle of Man. The ideal candidate must have at least 12 months previous NHS/IOM hospital experience. They will be working with nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals in a busy environment.

The following need to be supplied:
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Proof of vaccinations/immunity to gain a Fitness to Work certificate
- Enhanced DBS Check/Update Service Check
- Proof of Mandatory training aligned to the Skills for Health UKCSTF standards
- Satisfactory Clinical references to cover the last 3 years (minimum)

Nurse duties and responsibilities
Nurses often play a significant role in preparing patients for treatments and sharing knowledge about health and lifestyle changes. Their main duties and responsibilities include:
- Motivating patients to help restore and improve their health and self-esteem
- Providing medication to patients and providing pre- and post-operation care
- Providing psychological and physical support to parents, family members and friends
- Identifying patient care requirements
- Assuring the quality of care to patients through adhering to therapeutic standards
- Ensuring that patients and fellow employees adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medicine storage and administration procedures and substance control regulations
- Evaluating patients who complain of specific aliments.
- Looking for personal growth and ongoing development of the service
- As a Band 6, taking on more responsibility to lead and monitor the team
