Client Name: Mersey Care NHS Foundation

Role : Band 5

Rates : Up to £41.50 Per hour

Shifts : Various shift patterns to suit

WNA Healthcare are looking for Registered Mental Nurses and Community Nurses to work across Merseyside and surrounding areas.  Hampshire and surrounding areas to fulfil shifts at Mersey Care NHS Trust. The ideal candidate(s) must have at least 6 months previous UK hospital experience. They will be working with nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals in a busy environment.

The following need to be supplied:

  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Fitness to Work Certificate or proof of vaccinations/immunity
  • DBS Check/Update Service Check
  • Proof of Mandatory training aligned to the Skills for Health UKCSTF standards
  • English Competency
  • Satisfactory clinical references covering last 3 years (minimum)

Nurse duties and responsibilities

Nurses often play a significant role in preparing patients for treatments and sharing knowledge about health and lifestyle changes. Their main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Motivating patients to help restore and improve their health and self-esteem
  • Providing medication to patients and providing pre- and post-operation care
  • Providing psychological and physical support to parents, family members and friends
  • Identifying patient care requirements
  • Assuring the quality of care to patients through adhering to therapeutic standards
  • Ensuring that patients and fellow employees adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medicine storage and administration procedures and substance control regulations
  • Evaluating patients who complain of specific aliments.
  • Examining and authenticating vaccination records
